Event Description:
The Safety Group LTD (TSG), one of BIA's newest members, is hosting an interactive, fun education session and networking happy hour from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, September 13 at its South Philadelphia home. BIA Members will learn about new city regulations and how safety training can be made more interactive with TSG's innovative virtual reality technology and have some fun trying!

All BIA Builder and Associate Members are encouraged to attend and t
ry the OSHA 10 Hazard ID, High Steel and Forklift virtual reality training modules. Watch your fellow members on a big screen as they dangle from a 8” piece of steel 30 stories above the street, drive a forklift around the Philadelphia produce market and identify OSHA hazards at a construction site, virtually, of course!

Learn what continuing education credits, certifications and training TSG provides through its United Safety Academy, an International Accredited Continuing Education and Training provider offering safety and job-specific training for a wide range of building industry professions.

TSG and USA teach and certify everything from OSHA 10 & 30 to rigging, crane lift director, fork lift CDL, concrete safety, fire safety, lead, asbestos, and mold removal, as well as non-construction related instruction such as first aide, CPR, disaster prep and active shooter scenarios.
Construction management supervisors, architects and engineers can receive continuing education credits they need to remain certified. Real estate developers and agents can see the latest in BIM scanning, walking though the site and finished product before construction is completed.

BIA Members will have the opportunity to take advantage of deep discounts for OSHA 10 and 30 training, if they sign up at the event for a class. And everyone will go home with a Google Cardboard that will allow them to use their own smartphones to see some virtual reality training.
