Event Description:
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is reaching out to contractor and building industry trade associations as part of a greater initiative to address lead poisoning prevention in Philadelphia. To raise awareness, the EPA is hosting an information session for contractors, builders, remodelers, landlords and Realtors. This session will cover:
  • Lead-Based Paint Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule, aimed at protecting the public from lead-based paint hazards associated with renovation, repair and painting activities.
  • Residential Lead-Based Paint Hazard Reduction Act of 1992, also known as Title X, which requires the disclosure of known information on lead-based paint and lead-based paint hazards before the sale or lease of most housing built before 1978.
Attend and learn from EPA directly and get your questions addressed from knowledgeable experts.
