The effects of the COVID-19 crisis are widespread with ever-changing rules and new information. The BIA is fortunate to have a wealth of expertise among its members who can provide guidance to other members and friends in the industry. 

Board Member Ron Patterson and his colleagues at Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg created a COVID-19 Task Force, which remains vigilant on staying on top of all the things a business needs to know during these unprecedented times. Be sure to check out the latest guidance at klehr.com/covid19


BIA Board Member Cornelius Brown with Bohler generously offered to share his department's spreadsheet, which summarizes the status of City agency development services. Board Member Daniel Sobol of Stevens & Lee provided the slides from a webinar he and his colleagues gave titled "COVID-19: A Practical Guide for Employers NOW and Into the Future."


Member Alex Buzbee of Conner Strong & Buckelew sent this link to the company's COVID-19 Library, a resource center for the COVID-19 crisis and its effect on the insurance industry. The website is updated daily, and topics include state regulatory responses, employee benefits considerations, Worker’s Compensation, cyber threats, and business income losses.  
 


Members Lane Kelman and Matthew Skaroff of Cohen Seglias prepared "COVID-19 Time and Cost Impacts on Construction Projects ." Cohen Seglias also has a COVID-19 Resources page. 


The Zoning and Land Use Team at BIA Member Ballard Spahr is continuing to monitor all aspects of the City of Philadelphia land use approval process during the COVID-19 emergency, including the issuance of zoning and building permits, permissibility of construction work, and changes to relevant court filing deadlines.
